Is the Yamaha Tenere 700 your new bike of choice?
Are you wondering what this long black canister sitting behind the cylinder? Well, it's one of those bits fitted to catch any fuel vapours that would come out of your bike. Many like to remove it and use the room to fit a tool tube in place.
Remove those parts and shave over a pound off your bike using our Charcoal Canister Delete Kit.
Instructions:
- Remove seat and tank
- Simply remove the canister from the rubber hanger or cut the rubber.
- Disconnect the two lines going to the throttle body and fit the two red caps
- Keep the line going from the tank to the check valve (right side behind the engine bracket)
- Replace the short line under the check valve with the long line from the kit
- Route it toward the sprocket cover the same as the canister exit line was previously
Now you have the room to fit your tool tube in the best place possible (close to the center of gravity) or simply have fewer things stuff around the engine!
