Who does not know about the famous DDC cartridge?
The Cogent Dynamics DDC valves are the most cost-effective upgrade you can make to your "dated" motorcycle's forks.
Unique and the first of its kind, a DDC kit is the best way to upgrade the Yamaha TW200, equipped initially with simple damper rod type forks as front suspension.
This is a proven solution for your front suspension, which upgrades your damper-rod forks with a custom-engineered valve control system. It uses deflective shim technology to provide velocity-sensitive damping as high-end fork internals operate.
Each DDC is a specifically designed solution tailored to your bike's needs by changing compression and rebound characteristics to enhance suspension performance significantly.
The stock T-Dub suspension is known to be soft, mushy (when turning, slowing, or accelerating) and stiff and harsh on a square-edged bump such as a pothole or rock. This behaviour is simply due to the fundamental nature of the stock damper rod technology.
The DDC valve utilizes deflective shims and/or spring-controlled poppet valves as a type of internal pressure regulation within your forks to provide a far better level of control. You can finally have a reasonable chassis control that prevents brake-dive, wallowing along the stroke, and a plush-controlled ride over rocks and washboard tracks.
The DDC valves are proven in extreme environments, including travel and motocross tracks around the world.
Open your fork, replace the stock oil with a 5WT quality oil like Maxima's fork oil, and add the DDC to your fork. Unless you are a lightweight rider, you most likely need to replace your fork springs for a better fitting rate suited for your weight, luggage, and riding style.
Lead time is about 4-8 weeks from purchase.
