Spring recommendations:
The Standard (9.17 kg) spring is the best choice for 95% of the riders.
It will work very well if you are under 250 pounds (without your gear) and don't ride with a lot of luggage or passengers often.
 
If you regularly carry pannier boxes, a lot of gear or a passenger and your weight is close or over 250 pounds, you will probably benefit from the Heavy (10.19 kg) spring.
 
Note: Depending on stock, the shock will come with a red or yellow spring.
