What is one of the first and essential mods for the comfort and better handling of your Suzuki DR650?
 
It's lowering your footpegs. Unless you have short legs, almost all riders can feel cramped, and your knees feel too high and over-flexed when sitting on the bike.
 
Since the factory's stock peg mounts are high, we designed our own Footpeg Lowering Mounts.
 
They will improve seating ergonomics by allowing your knees to relax and make gear shifting more natural. It will enhance the transition from sitting to standing when riding off-road (rally riders use "tall" saddles).
 
The current offers do not lower them enough (max 1.5"). We want to maximize that with 2" instead, where the peg bracket will be slightly above the frame level. The footpegs are shifted rearward (1/4") but not as much as the current offers because they can cause trouble reaching the shifter if you do not wear size 13 boots!
 
The lowering mounts are built with high-strength structural steel using a simple and sturdy design. The plates are CNC laser-cut and then carefully welded together before getting a durable powder-coated black finish.
 
The lowering mounts will work with the stock rear brake pedal. Use the OEM bolts and a few washers to give yourself space to install the mounts. However, we recommend the Warp9 Brake Pedal for a much better fit. The latter will offer more downward adjustment if you ride primarily on the street. Most lowering mounts on the market often result in a more inward peg location. The footpeg's outward position will be the same as the stock, keeping the same leverage on the bike even with the stock pegs. In all cases, larger footpegs like the Warp9 Adventure Footpegs will help you get the most leverage on your machine.
