You can experiment with a different position using your stock 7/8" handlebar and later upgrade for an oversized bar, these Handlebar Riser/Offset Clamps will accept both bar diameters.

The mounts simply bolt on the lower part of your stock clamps and offer a 30mm rise with a 20mm offset (forward of backward).
Many riders find that increasing the bar height even a little improves their comfort. Raising your bars will result in a more upright position, which can relieve neck and back strain. The offset will also bring the bar closer to you, for a more relaxed position in the saddle.
If you are quite tall with long arms, you may want to try to offset the bar forward so you don't feel so tight with the cockpit.
Always check the correct function of all your controls (throttle line, clutch cable and electrical cables) once the installation is complete and before you head out on your ride.
Note: While those mounts have laser-etched "DR-Z" markings, they are universal and will fit on any stock 7/8" clamps thanks to the adaptive bolt spacing from 32mm to 40mm.
