The venerable Suzuki DR650 is a tough bike, but like any, comes a time you will need to care for it more than the usual once over!
 
Rear suspension linkage overhaul is easy to forget and overlook while doing maintenance, but it is essential to keep your ride smooth.
 
If you feel any play in the swingarm, in any direction, you are due for this at least. Also, check your swingarm pivot bearings while you are at it.
 
Upon inspection, it's best to replace it all if your shafts and bearings show any traces of water ingress (meaning rust!) or lack of grease.
