It is common knowledge within the community that the upper chain roller on this bike is not strong enough and not in the best location to resist the chain coming up during full compression of the rear suspension.
There is a high chance of the upper chain roller being ripped off by the chain – along with a chunk of metal out of the frame...
This is why you must remove it and simply block off the thread on the frame with this stubby bolt with a really flat head that will stay away from the chain travel.
You can use this stainless steel button head screw to plug the threaded hole.
